EHRI compie un passo verso un futuro sostenibile

Lunedì 2 luglio 2018 - Il progetto EHRI è stato ufficialmente adottato dalla ESFRI Roadmap 2018 (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) ed entrerà nell'ecosistema ESFRI. Si tratta di un primo passo importante verso un futuro sostenibile per EHRI, progetto che si concluderà nel 2019.

La missione di ESFRI è di supportare un approccio coerente e condotto in maniera strategica alla programmazione sulle Infrastrutture di Ricerca in Europa e di facilitare iniziative multilaterali mirate ad un uso migliore e ad uno sviluppo delle cosiddette Rls. Quale parte di questo missione ESFRI periodicamente aggiorna una Roadmap che include progetti selezionati per l'eccellenza del loro caso scientifico e per la loro maturità. ESFRI include progetti nella sua Roadmap per  sottolinearne limportanza strategica all'interno della Area di Ricerca Europea (ERA) e per supportatne l'implementazione quali organizzazioni a lungo termine. L'11 Settembre ESFRI presenterà la ESFRI Roadmap 2018 sulle Infrastrutture di Ricerca su Larga Scala, in occasione di una conferenza di mezza giornata a Vienna.

EHRI è stato uno dei sei  progetti inclusi nella ESFRI Roadmap 2018 e il solo progetto in Scienze Umanistiche e Sociali. Il nostro coinvolgimento ratifica i considerevoli traguardi del progetto EHRI e sottolinea che la nostra missione e le nostre attività sono viste come strategicamente importanti dai responsabili politici. Per questo si tratta di una tappa fondamentale nel nostro sforzo di assicurare sotenibilità a EHRI dopo il 2019 e un importante passo nella costruzione di EHRI quale luogo permanente per l'integrazione transnazionale della ricerca e degli archivi sulla Shoah.

EHRI Takes Next Step to Sustainable Future

Monday, 2 July, 2018 - The EHRI project has officially been adopted by the ESFRI Roadmap 2018 (European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) to enter the ESFRI ecosystem. This is a first important step in a sustainable future for EHRI after the project ends in 2019.

ESFRI's mission is to support a coherent and strategy-led approach to policy-making on Research Infrastructures in Europe and to facilitate multilateral initiatives leading to the better use and development of so-called RIs. As part of this mission ESFRI periodically updates a Roadmap that includes projects that have been selected for the excellence of their scientific case and for their maturity. ESFRI includes projects on its Roadmap in order to underline their strategic importance to the European Research Area (ERA) and to support their implementation as long-term organisations. On September 11th, the ESFRI will present the 2018 ESFRI Roadmap on Large Scale Research Infrastructures during a half-day conference in Vienna.

EHRI was one of six projects that were added to the 2018 ESFRI Roadmap, and the only project in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Our inclusion validates the considerable achievements of the EHRI project so far, and highlights that our mission and activities are seen as strategically important by policy makers. As such it is an important milestone in our endeavours to ensure EHRI's sustainability beyond 2019, and an important step in establishing EHRI as the permanent home for the transnational integration of Holocaust research and archives.
